When most of us wash our cars, we focus on the outside: the tires, the doors, etc. But how many of us put our attention on the underside or undercarriage? It is just as important to give it a good wash as well, but oftentimes it's ignored.
Given that washing under your car can be a tedious and sometimes unpleasant task, let’s be honest: most people will just say “oh well” and continue driving around in an unclean vehicle. But you shouldn’t do this, since it only leads to bigger problems.
Most people don’t think about what happens underneath their car when they are driving down the road. All sorts of dirt and debris get kicked up from the ground and can often stick to whatever is on your car’s undercarriage. This includes salt during winter months or even mud if you live in an area where there are lots of fields nearby!
To be honest, most of us probably don’t care too much about what our cars look like underneath. But you should! In fact, it really is just as important as keeping the outside clean.
The dirt and debris that accumulate over time can make your car less aerodynamic which means higher fuel costs for you in addition to other potential problems like reduced handling performance/safety due to corrosion buildup on suspension components (like struts) or muffler supports/hangers being worn out prematurely due to constant
That’s why we highly recommend that you get into the habit of regularly washing the underside of your car. Sure, it may be a bit unpleasant to do so, but in the end, it will save you a lot of time and money on repairs that could have otherwise been avoided.
