Zappy's Auto Washes Google Ops

Zappy's Auto Washes Google Ops is an internal software application built and operated by Zappy's Auto Washes (Zappitelli IT, Mentor, Ohio) to manage our own presence on Google. It is used only by Zappy's Auto Washes employees. It is not offered to customers or the public, and no customer ever signs in to it.

Purpose of the application

The application connects to Google's APIs on behalf of the Google account that owns our business listings and advertising accounts, so that our staff can:

  • Google Business Profile — read customer reviews and post owner replies; answer questions; publish updates and photos; keep store hours, addresses, phone numbers and services accurate for every Zappy's Auto Washes location; view listing performance.
  • Google Search Console — view search performance and indexing status for zappysautowashes.com.
  • Google Analytics — view website traffic reports for zappysautowashes.com.
  • Google Ads — view reports for, and manage campaigns, budgets and keywords in, Google Ads accounts owned by Zappy's Auto Washes. An employee reviews and approves every change before it is made.

How the application uses Google user data

The application requests the following Google OAuth permissions, and uses them only for the purposes above:

  • business.manage — manage our own Google Business Profile listings.
  • adwords — report on and manage our own Google Ads accounts.
  • webmasters — read our own Search Console data.

Access is granted by a Zappy's Auto Washes administrator signing in with the company's Google account. The application accesses only Google data belonging to Zappy's Auto Washes. It never accesses, stores or processes a customer's Google account, and it does not sell, rent or share Google data with any third party. Data retrieved is used solely for internal reporting and operations and is kept only as long as needed for that purpose. Access can be revoked at any time at https://myaccount.google.com/permissions.
